Osmond Technologies, LLC · For clients
Domain Names
Last updated October 25, 2026. For existing clients, these terms take effect with your next renewal.
Your domain name is your address on the internet: yourbusiness.com. This page explains how Osmond Technologies, LLC registers and manages domains, what it costs, and what happens if you leave.
1. What It Costs
Domain management is $30 per domain, per year. That covers:
- renewing your domain every year, so it never expires by accident
- privacy protection, so your name, address, and phone number aren't published in the public domain directory
- a transfer lock, which prevents your domain from being moved to someone else without permission
- keeping your domain pointed at your website and email
Standard domains such as .com, .net, and .org are $30 per year. Specialty or premium domains that cost more to register are priced individually, and we'll tell you the price before we register one.
2. Where Your Domain Is Registered
Domains we manage are currently registered through GoDaddy, one of the largest accredited domain registrars. We may change registrars in the future; if we do, your domain moves with no change to your price or service.
3. How It's Billed
Your domain is billed once a year on the same invoice as your hosting, so you only have one bill.
Your domain may renew on a different date than your hosting. When that happens, your hosting invoice includes your domain's next renewal in advance, labeled with its dates—for example, "Domain renewal for yourbusiness.com, June 2027 to June 2028." You're never billed twice for the same year.
The payment processing fee applies to domain charges the same way it applies to hosting.
4. It's Your Domain
The domain belongs to you. We register and manage it on your behalf, but you are its owner.
Because of privacy protection, public lookup tools will show the owner as hidden. You may see the name "Domains By Proxy"—that's GoDaddy's privacy service, not a different owner. This is normal and intentional.
5. If You Manage Your Own Domain
If your domain is registered in your own account instead of ours, renewing it is your responsibility. We're not responsible for website or email outages, or for losing the domain, if it expires or its settings are changed.
We're happy to help with a domain you manage at our standard support rate, or to move it into our care for $30 per year.
6. If You Leave
When you end service with us and your account is paid in full, we'll transfer your domain to the registrar or provider you choose. Any year you've already paid for goes with it.
We start the transfer; the receiving provider completes it. Details are in the offboarding sections of our Managed Services Agreement and Standard Hosting Agreement.
7. If an Invoice Goes Unpaid
If your hosting and domain invoice isn't paid, we may not renew your domain when it comes due. An expired domain stops your website and email from working. Recovering a domain after it expires usually costs a redemption fee charged by the registrar; if that happens, the fee is added to your account at our cost. See our Terms of Service for suspension and reconnection.
